Saint Bonaventure of Bagnoregio

July 15, 2024 marks the 750th anniversary of the death of St. Bonaventure of Bagnoregio, the Seraphic Doctor. For this occasion, the General Ministers of the First Order and TOR have prepared a letter that portrays his character by consideration of three distinctive aspects of St. Bonaventure: as a master of theology, as a general minister of the Order, and as a mystic of love. 

The anniversary is an occasion to remember and celebrate the service he gave to the Order and the whole Church, but also to re-propose him as a gift that is still valid for our times, a voice still relevant today.
